Katsia Kaya is a voice artist, soprano, performer and composer. She studied choral conducting and opera singing, and has worked in the field of contemporary dance for more than ten years. In her performances she combines singing, dance and movement, and composes her own music for voice and electronics.
 

Her work is not bound to one genre. Her versatile vocal artistry lets her move freely from extended vocal techniques to an open, traditional folk sound, from operatic and classical repertoire to different genres of pop music. She regularly collaborates with choreographers, visual artists and activists.
 

She has performed at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Kampnagel Hamburg, Akademie der Künste Berlin (Freiraum Kunst) and Theaterhaus Stuttgart, and in Inversion of a Future by Shiran Eliaserov and Amir Shpilman, a stunt opera.
 

She lives and works in Berlin.
